The new season of World of Warcraft: The War Within is expected to launch on March 4th, 2025. With the release of every new season, Blizzard always manages to deliver new exceptional content and updates. Here, we will discuss everything you need to know about the new upcoming content to WoW – Raid, Mythic+ Dungeon rotation and changes, PvP, and Delves Updates. If you want to level up a character but don’t have the time to do so, you can always purchase a WoW lvl boost and catch up until the next season!

New Raid and Zone

In season 2, the second raid of The War Within expansion will come. Liberation of Undermine will be located in the new zone Undermine. This zone will be directly connected to Goblins and their lifestyle, stories, and habits. The Raid will have 8 bosses in total and will reward you with new gear. The gear will start from ilvl 623 on LFR difficulty, all the way up to ilvl 678 on Mythic difficulty. The raid will also have a Story Mode which will allow the player to beat the final boss in easier conditions.

The Tier Sets drop will be redistributed among the bosses, with the last boss dropping a token that can be exchanged by any class for any piece of Tier Set gear. You will have to defeat 2, 4, and 6 Raid Bosses from Liberation of Undermine to unlock all of the Great Vault weekly rewards.

The new zone Undermine will feature a zone-specific travel system, just like in Dragonflight zones. Once you complete the necessary quest D.R.I.V.E. will be unlocked for all of your characters, and you will be able to customize it to your liking. It’s important to note that, the D.R.I.V.E. can be used only in the Undermine zone.

Mythic Dungeons Rotation and Changes

With the release of TWW, the M0 Dungeon was scaled to the difficulty of M+10 in the previous expansion. In the new season, this will be unchanged, as well as its daily lockout. You can get up to 636 ilvl gear by completing a Mythic 0 Dungeon.

There will be a completely new rotation of Dungeons for Mythic+. Here are all of them:

  • Operation: Floodgate
  • Cinderbrew Meadery
  • Darkflame Cleft
  • The Rookery
  • Priory of the Sacred Flame
  • The MOTHERLODE!!
  • Theater of Pain
  • Operation: Mechagon: Workshop

Upon successfully completing a Keystone Dungeon, the players will have a chance to receive loots based on the level of the Keystone. At Keystone +2, players will stand a chance to receive ilvl 639 gear. Furthermore, at Keystone level +12, it will be gear with ilvl 655. Since the Mythic+ content is made to scale infinitely, with each Keystone level, all of the mobs and bosses in the Dungeon will receive extra Health and damage increases.

Mythic+ Dungeons also feature Affixes that provide additional difficulty. At Mythic+4, the player will have to deal with one of the 4 weekly affixes:

  • Xal’atath’s Bargain: Ascendant – Up to 10 orbs will periodically spawn and start casting ‘’Cosmic Ascension’’. If not interrupted, the orbs will buff the nearby mobs, and if successfully interrupted by the players, the whole team will receive a Haste and movement speed buff for some time.
  • Xal’atath’s Bargain: Voidbound – While players are in combat, Void Emmisarry will periodically spawn and buff nearby mobs with damage reduction. Upon killing the Emmisarry, all of the party members will receive a cooldown reduction and Versatility buff for a short time.
  • Xal’atath’s Bargain: Pulsar – While in combat, orbs will spawn around the players for a short time. If a player runs through the orb and absorbs it, they will receive a Mastery and Leach buff for a short period. Otherwise, the mobs will get empowered with bonus damage and damage reduction.
  • Xal’atath’s Bargain: Devour – Periodically, all 5 of the players will receive a debuff. The debuff can be removed by either dispelling or healing. If not removed on time, the mobs will receive healing for % of their max HP, and upon successful dispel, all the players will receive a max Health and Critical increase.

Upon reaching Mythic+ 7, there will be additional 2 affixes that rotate between each other every week. The first one is ‘’Tyrannical’’, which increases all the Dungeon bosses’ damage and HP. The second one is called ‘’Fortified’’ which increases the HP and damage of all non-boss enemies.

Upon reaching Keystone Level 10, both Tyrannical and Fortified will be active at the same time. Lastly, every Keystone that is level 12 or above, will replace the current Xal’atath’s Bargain affix with Xal’atath’s Guile, which will subtract 15 seconds from the timer upon a player’s death.

PvP Updates

The biggest update about the PvP scene during Season 2 is the change of the ‘’No-Show’’ debuff. The debuff is received after leaving a Solo Shuffle or Battleground Blitz that is still in action, and from Season 2 onwards it will be account-wide. That means that once a player receives the debuff they will not be able to queue for another PvP match on any character in the account until the duration of ‘’No-Show’’ expires.

Delves

In Season 2, there will be 2 new Delves, Excavation Site 9 and Sidestreet Sluice. There will be new variants for almost all of the current Delves. Also, the Bountiful Delves will rotate each week to provide more variety. All of the rewards from Delves will be buffed to match the ilvl of Season 2. Also, the NPC Brann Bronzebeard will keep fighting on your side during Season 2. At Bountiful Delve Tier 1, players can receive ilvl 610, and at Tier 11, they can receive ilvl 639 gear.

Conclusion

To summarize it all, there will be a couple of changes regarding all of the content in WoW’s second Season. There will be a new zone called Undermine, new Renown milestones and a new traveling system. The release of the new raid Liberation of Undermine in the new zone with a total of 8 bosses with new mechanics.

Moreover, there will be slight changes in the Mythic+ affixes and a completely new Dungeon rotation. In Season 2, Blizzard will change the penalty for leaving an ongoing PvP match, as well as some minor changes to the Delves.

As it seems, Season 2 of The War Within looks highly promising and will have tons of new rewards and content for all the players. If you have taken a break from WoW, the launch of Season 2 will be the perfect time for you to return and continue your adventure in the vast world of WoW!
