Since starting their 2024-25 LaLiga campaign perfectly (winning 4 out of 4), Hansi Flick and the team have had some news and updates regarding player injuries/recovery, upcoming fixtures, and more. I am going to expand on that.

FC Barcelona Upcoming Fixtures for September

  • Hansi Flick Wins Coach of the Month for August

It was expected, to be honest. No team has been successful in accumulating all the points out of all the possible in this season. Yeah, it’s just the start of the season but it’s something that should be praised. He, with the players, thrashed Real Valladolid 7-0 at home. It was a joy to watch, to be honest.

His game plan has been working. His predecessor Xavi was weak in making the changes at the right time but Flick has been spot-on with that so far.

Anyhow, he’s been the only one deserving of being crowned the coach of the month.

  • Lamine Yamal Wins U23 Player of the Month for August

Oh, my my! The kid isn’t even eligible for a driving license and he’s already causing a ruckus at such a young age. He’s my favorite on the current squad of FC Barcelona. His dribbles and the confidence with which he dribbles are the best traits I adore.

He was able to score once and provide assists in four in the opening four games of LaLiga. He’s been one of the important assets of the team since he arrived on the big stage. Not only for Barca but also for Spain.

I am really thankful to Dembele for leaving for PSG and Xavi for trusting the kid otherwise we won’t be able to cherish what we are cherishing now.

  • Gavi’s Recovery is Going ‘Really’ Well

I mean it when I say that his recovery is going ‘really’ well. He is ahead of the schedule in his recovery. He was expected to return in November for training but he will be joining his teammates in a week for training and might join a match as a sub.

I’d love to see him back in action in 4K on my 32-inch TV screen with high-speed Spectrum Internet that is reliable, affordable, and has reliable customer service at Spectrum phone number.

Gavi has been absent from the squad for around 10 months after tearing his ACL in a friendly game with his national team. Barca kinda crumbled especially in press after he was sidelined for the season. I am glad that he is coming back and that too sooner than expected.

  • Deco: “We have found a balance.”

Recently Deco received backlash from fans for not performing well as The Director of Football. He even got accused of nepotism. But his views are different from what the fans are saying.

According to him, FC Barcelona has found a balance in the team through new hirings and some late support from the academy. Personally, I don’t agree with his statements because Barca failed to sign their desired targets which include Nico Williams, Martin Zubimendi, and a fullback.

  • Kimmich is Pretty Excited to Join FC Barcelona

Joshua Kimmich, the versatile German midfielder was on target of FC Barcelona previously but he wasn’t signed because of the financial constraints. Hansi Flick is a great admirer of his and in my opinion, he can add value to the team.

His contract will be expiring in the next season and Barca can sign him for free. I guess he is going to be one of the first signings that Barca makes if Flick stays around for the next season.

FC Barcelona Upcoming Fixtures for September

  • Barca vs. Girona

In the last season, Girona gave Blaugrana a tough time for the runner-up spot in LaLiga. This season they are struggling to find the same pace under Michel.

After the international break is over, the first team Barca will face is Girona. Girona sits 5th right now with a loss and a draw causing a drop in points. It’s going to be an away fixture at Barcelona and certainly an interesting one to watch.

  • Barca vs. Monaco

Blaugrana will be kicking off its Champions League campaign with a fixture against French side Monaco.

Barca recently faced them in a friendly fixture in the summer break and Monaco came out victorious with a 3-0 win. Monaco was runner-up in the 2023-24 season of Ligue 1. They really are a tough side and this fixture is going to be worth watching.

  • Barca vs. Villareal

After their away fixtures with Girona, FC Barcelona will be having another away fixture at Estadio de la Ceramica. Villareal is a strong challenger and can pose the first real threat to Barca’s top spot at LaLiga.

Villareal is equal in points with Real Madrid and they are doing good. I will certainly keep tabs on this fixture.
